The stainless steel modular belt (or grid-type modular belt) is a type of open-mesh conveyor belt that is resistant to high temperatures, heavy loads, and intense liquids, and is especially used in industrial ovens, washing tunnels, cooling systems, freezers, and heat treatment lines. These belts usually consist of stainless steel links (rings) that are either intertwined or joined together with rods/pins.
It can generally be manufactured from AISI 304, AISI 316, or high-nickel alloys for higher temperatures, depending on the application requiring resistance to high temperatures, steam, or corrosion. Depending on the characteristics of the product to be conveyed and the area of use, frame materials and frame types can be manufactured as straight, inclined, and curved (between $10^\circ$ and $180^\circ$). It is hygienic due to its washable characteristic.
